Money
Costa Rican currency is the colon (co-LOAN).  American dollars and major credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, except in small business establishments or hotels and restaurants in remote locations. Travelers' checks are not exchanged as favorably as cash. ATMs are available in most cities and towns with bank offices.

Climate
Daily temperatures usually linger around an enjoyable 75° to 80° Fahrenheit. (24° C to 30° C).  Temperatures are lower in the mountains.  Costa Rica has two seasons -- dry season (December through June) and green season (July through November).
